Description
Enclosures of the series – EJB and EJBX are flameproof enclosures and comply with the requirements of directive 2014/34/EU, EN 60079-0:2012/A11:2013 have type of protection “d” according to EN 60079-1:2014 and “t” according to EN 60079-31:2014, are intended for the installation of electrical equipment in places with the risk of an explosive environment. The shells can have various configuration options, providing reliable protection for built-in devices, terminals, devices, wires, etc. from external influence. The presented shells are the best solution for the subsequent assembly of finished equipment. Cable glands, drainage devices, controls, indication lamps, viewing windows, etc. can be located on the outer surface of the shell.
Explosion-proof enclosures differ in the design of the housing, overall dimensions, housing material, the presence of a viewing window and the method that ensures explosion tightness.
The equipment mounted on the basis of the presented explosion-proof enclosures allows it to be classified as electrical equipment of groups I, II and III, belongs to the category 2M (mining version), 2G (gas environments), 3D (field environments). Equipment can be placed in zones 2, 3, 21 and 22. The environment may contain explosive mixtures of gases and vapors with air of categories IIA, IIB, IIB + H2, IIC, as well as IIIA (flammable volatile particles), IIIB (non-conductive dust), IIIC (conductive dust).
The shells are made of the following materials: EJB – copper-free aluminum alloy, EJBX – stainless steel. According to the manufacturing technology, the shells are divided into cast and welded.
Finished equipment based on shells can correspond to the following temperature class: T6, T5, T4, T3. When choosing a temperature class, consider the power dissipation of the enclosure, the operating temperature and the equipment used as accessories.
When installing electrical equipment inside the enclosures, the following conditions must be observed that at least 20% for subgroups IIA, IIB and 40%, and for subgroup IIC, the cross-sectional area of the shell remains free for the unhindered flow of the gas flow so as not to limit the development of the explosion.
For critical infrastructure and industrial facilities across Qatar and the Middle East, Autonex supplies certified EJB and EJBX flameproof enclosures that meet the most demanding hazardous area requirements. Manufactured to IEC 60079-1 (Ex d) standards and compliant with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, these explosion proof enclosures provide a robust, pressure-resistant housing for electrical equipment deployed in Zone 2 gas and Zone 21 dust environments. Whether you are protecting control instrumentation at an oil and gas facility in Qatar or securing automation components at a petrochemical plant, our EJB (aluminum alloy) and EJBX (stainless steel) series deliver uncompromising protection against ignition, corrosion, and extreme environmental exposure.
