Description
A ball valve uses a spherical disc (the ball) with a bore through its centre to control flow. When the ball is rotated 90 degrees by the handle, the bore aligns with the pipe, allowing full flow. Rotating the ball back blocks the flow. Ball valves provide reliable tight shut-off with minimal pressure drop when fully open.
